Massimo Iosa Ghini, the architect, says: Since many years I try to reach the same goals in all my projects, such as to reach something which is sustainable but beautiful. South Face, is the result of this continuous research to have a sustainable project that can confront with real production systems available on the market. The installation shows a facade in function with the solar exposition. It consists in a modular insulating wall composed of environmentally friendly cement elements, added substrate wires, that hold a think and scenographic vegetation. The facade is exposed to the south and it creates a real vertical garden, that absorbs C02 from the atmosphere and it also thermal isulates the environment. Inside the structure there have been insert some informal seating. Usually, the word sustainability is associated to sterile forms, in which the aesthetics can be often put aside. Our installation creates spectacular aesthetic effects making the sustainable beautiful and possible. "
